UCR Data 2000-2019
Check out my curated UCR Data from 2000 to 2019! I made this 11/8/2021. The data include the columns below and are mostly FBI UCR data unless otherwise noted. Check out my post on crime data to see a lot of detail about these data and how I created the data set.
- The measurement year (Year)
- The measurement state’s postal abbreviation (State_Abbr)
- The measurement state’s full name (State)
- How many UCR violent crimes were reported in that measurement year and state (Violent_Crime)
- How many homicides were reported in that measurement year and state (Homicides)
- How many UCR legacy rapes were reported in that measurement year and state (Rape_Legacy)
- How many UCR revised rapes were reported in that measurement year and state (Rape_Revised)
- How many robberies were reported in that measurement year and state (Robbery)
- How many aggravated assault were reported in that measurement year and state (Aggravated_Assault)
- How many property crimes were reported in that measurement year and state (Property_Crime)
- How many burglaries were reported in that measurement year and state (Burglary)
- How many larcenies were reported in that measurement year and state (Larceny)
- How many motor vehicle thefts were reported in that measurement year and state (Motor_Vehicle_Theft)
- How many law enforcement officers (i.e., police) were employed in the state in that measurement year (LEOs)
- The intercensal estimate of the state’s population in a given measurement year per the United State Census Bureau (Population)
- The number of LEOs per 1,000 people in the state in the given measurement year (i.e., Population divided by LEOs then multiplied by 1,000)
